Ana Maria Uribe (Argentina 19?? - 2004) One of the first poets to take
to the internet.
She was a poet, direct descendent from the brazilian concrete poets that
found the web as the natural extension of her craft.
She began making typoems, visual play with letters and type. She later did
anipoems, making the letters move on her own.
Text has been my medium for so long it is nice
to see it begin to filter to my new medium. Poets are
very recalcitrant to
use technology, she is important to me because she is one of
the first to do so.
