Based on simple but very eloquent idea by Sue Thomas, a novelist from England, the quilt was designed & 'stitched' by Teri Hoskin, a visual artist based in Australia.
They invited 100 word entries from around the world, based on a noon-time story / observation from their part of the world. The result is a rich mosaic of varying moods, seasons, expressions.

I like this work for its simplicity of concept, as well as its harnessing of the web to create a truly collaborative work that is very evocative as well as inclusive.
