Perceptual Arena is an interactive space environment empty in it's initial
state which comes alive through the users movement and perception of
the space. The space acts as a "virtual
clay", molds into a different experience as each visitor will have a unique
experience and response in the environment. Depending on the visitor's view,
movement and history through
the space and personal interpretation, textures of sounds and polygons
are triggered to fill the previously empty area. Existing only through the
viewer the space evolves or can lead to
complete deletion.
I found the notion of the space unfolding according to the visitor's behaviors and focus
interesting and indicative as to how we move around in the environment around us.
Day after day walking on the street we can experience a very different space, as we
can each tune into different things and at times see what we want to see.
