Lynn Hershman is experimenting here with issues of identity, extended vision through machine capabilities among others. The user can click on the doll's eyes in the picture at the website. Clicking one eye yields a picture of the doll's actual physical space. Clicking on the other eye results in images grabbed randomly from the internet. These images get refreshed every 30 seconds. Also, the doll's head can be moved to extend the viewers gaze into the doll's physical space. The doll is controlled by a PC. The computer automatically dials the internet & connects to a pre-determined server.
Also, the doll receives motion commands from the web server, & responds to them.
