I tried to make a very simple purse -
4''X4'', 2 layers: felt and Tyvek. The Tyvek was printed.
I sewed all the pieces together (so the felt was in the outside) and then I turned it inside out.
Conclusions:
1. Plan better the order of actions !!
Waited with the Velcro to the end which is not smart... Should start with the Velcro next time.
2. I had 2 layers of felt and 2 of Tyvek sewed together and it was too thick. The stitches are shown and it doesn't look good at all.
3. When measuring Tyvek I should take into consideration that the felt is really thick and I should add 1/8 of an inch to my calculations.
4. When turning the inside out, it creates many wrinkles which gives a certain effect to the purse.
5. Daniel Bartolini told me that he never uses a wallet just because they are not comfortable to sit on, and that this one seems to be very comfortable.
