Activity Analysis: Making Toast
1.Open the bag of bread by removing bag fastener.

2.Remove two slices of bread from the bag
3.Place each slice in a separate slot of the toaster

4.Turn timer to desired level of toasting
5.Push down start lever

6.Wait for toasting to occur and notice when it pops back up

7.Remove toast from slots and place on a plate

1. Fine motor control for removing fastener, moving the bread around, adjusting the toasting knob.
2. Gross motor control for depressing the start lever
3. Ability to stand to place toast in top of toaster (depending on placement of toaster)
4. Sight to navigate the toaster controls
5. Sight or hearing to notice when the toast is done
6. Smell to tell if the toast is burning
7. Understanding of time, heat and the relationship between the two
8. Understanding of a slice of bread as an object and its potential to become toast
9. Understanding of the physical interface (timer dial and lever)
