Everyday Technology: Stove/Oven Usage

1: Movement
In order to begin one must have the ability to move to get to the physical location of the device. This means the ability to do one of the following:
- Walk bi-pedal naturally or with the help of prosthetics, crutches, and/or walker.
- Ability to self-transfer the body to an assistive mobility device such as; wheel chair and/or electric scooter.
Compensation for Sensor Impaired: Touch and/or Sight as individuals or coupled may be the only essential senses required with one of the two attributes above.
-May also require bed/chair lifts to prepare the body for transfer to mobility device. -Certain cases self-transfer may not be possible
2: Hand/Foot Eye Coordination
The ability to conceptualize spatial relation between hands/feet and buttons, latches, and burners.
- The ability to use limbs to turn on/off and set temperatures
Compensation for Sensor Impaired: Touch and/or Sight as individuals or coupled may be the only essential senses required with a mode of movement listed above.
-May need some form of clamp to grasp and use buttons, pots, pans, cabinets, refrigerator. -May need a mechanism to lift the body level so that all materials are reachable.
