Observation and Research Project
Part 1
This project will start with observing the interaction with technology that we have on a daily level and choosing one of the technological objects to perform an activity analysis on. The object and the activity analysis should be documented in your journal.
At the same time students will choose a specific condition from the below list and do research into it and its physical manifestations:
- Cerebral Palsy
- Developmental delay
- Autism
- Spinal cord injury
- Stroke
- Arthritis
Part 2
In groups, one technological object and one condition will be chosen from the research in part 1. Two imaginary users who have this condition will be created and the technological object is re-designed so that these characters can use it. A story-boarded user scenario along with a cardboard or other quick prototype should be made and documented
