Stroke
I chose to do "stroke" since it is a side effect of diabetes, a disease that I want to learn more about since there are people that I know that are prone to it. The definition of stroke, taken from this web page is the following;
What is Stroke?
Stroke is a type of cardiovascular disease. It affects the arteries leading to and within the brain. A stroke occurs when a blood vessel that carries oxygen and nutrients to the brain is either blocked by a clot or bursts. When that happens, part of the brain cannot get the blood (and oxygen) it needs, so it starts to die.
The effects of stroke are varied. This web page describes some of the symptoms. They are quite varied but include paralysis,vision problems, memory loss, etc.
